Fish restaurant The O.L. School is situated in the former a school called Dieftil, an amalgamation of the schools from Leermens, Eenum and Oosterwijtwerd. From 1935 to 2013, the building served as a school until there were no longer enough pupils to keep the school running. This region has long seen vacancy rates. People leave because of disappearing facilities and facilities disappear because people leave. The number of children in the villages has also declined as a result. Fortunately, the original Dieftil school got new owners who turned the premises into a seafood restaurant.
